Cookie Policy

Effective Date: April 6, 2026 · Last Updated: April 6, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give site operators usage information. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage for some of the purposes described below.

2. Cookies & Storage We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary

These are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.

Cookie / StorageProviderPurposeDuration
__clerk_*ClerkAuthentication session management, JWT tokens, user identitySession / Persistent
__client_uatClerkClient-side session synchronizationSession
cf_clearanceCloudflareBot protection verification (Turnstile)30 minutes

2.2 Functional

These remember your preferences and enhance your experience.

Storage KeyTypePurposeDuration
idd-workspace-preferencesCookieRemembers document workspace preferences such as selected documents for each deal, deal and inventory view preferences, PDF zoom, PDF layout/view mode, finished-copy display mode by signed-in user, and document workspace drawer state1 year

signing-signature:*localStorage / sessionStorageStores your drawn or typed signature during an active signing session so you don't have to redraw it on each document. Dealer-device signatures may persist across sessions; public signing links use session-only storage.Session or Persistent

2.3 Analytics

These help us understand how you use the Service so we can improve it. Analytics cookies and session replay storage are only loaded after you accept analytics cookies via the cookie consent banner.

Cookie / StorageProviderPurposeDuration
ph_*PostHogProduct analytics: pageviews, feature usage, session tracking1 year
ph_phc_*_posthogPostHogDistinct user identifier for analytics1 year
sessionStorage / localStorageSentryMasked session replay and crash diagnostics around errorsSession

PostHog analytics may collect: your user ID, email address, organization name, pages visited, features used, and session duration. This data is used to improve the product and is not shared with other third parties for advertising. PostHog data is stored in the region configured for our account (currently US). See PostHog's Privacy Policy for more details.

We also use Sentry for product error monitoring. When you accept analytics cookies, Sentry Session Replay may capture masked interaction data around errors so we can reproduce issues. Replay text is masked and media is blocked by default.

3. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

3.1 Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit the Service, a cookie consent banner will appear allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page.

3.2 Browser Settings

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly.

3.3 Opt Out of Analytics

To opt out of PostHog analytics tracking and Sentry Session Replay, you can:

  • Decline analytics cookies via the cookie consent banner
  • Enable the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser (we honor DNT signals)
  • Contact us at [email protected] to request analytics opt-out for your account

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. These providers control their own technologies and policies, and we control whether and when those integrations are invoked within the Service. The third parties that may set cookies include:

  • Clerk (clerk.com) — Authentication
  • Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — Security / Bot protection
  • PostHog (posthog.com) — Analytics (with consent)
  • Sentry (sentry.io) — Error monitoring and session replay (replay with consent)
  • Stripe (stripe.com) — Payment processing (on billing pages only)
  • Google Maps (google.com) — Address autocomplete (on address fields only)

Certain product-specific flows, including electronic signing, payment, address autocomplete, security, and hosting integrations, may invoke third-party technologies that use cookies or similar storage when those flows are active.

We do not allow third-party advertising cookies. We do not participate in advertising networks or serve targeted ads.

5. Do Not Track Signals

We honor Do Not Track ("DNT") and Global Privacy Control ("GPC") browser signals. If your browser sends a DNT or GPC signal, we will not load analytics cookies or replay storage (PostHog and Sentry Replay) and will limit data collection to what is strictly necessary for the Service to function.

6. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we add new categories of cookies or significantly change how we use them, we will re-display the cookie consent banner.
